Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse (RN), Cardiac Telemetry – Georgia
Start Date: November 30, 2026
Location: Augusta, Georgia
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: 36 or 48-hour weekly guarantee; 12-hour shifts with every other weekend required; 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule period; no call required
Highlights:
- 36-bed cardiac telemetry unit caring for adults and geriatric patients with an average daily census of 35
- Patient ratio of 1:4-5 with diagnoses including CHF, MI/chest pain (pre- and post-cath), dysrhythmias, hypertension, sepsis, PE/DVT, and vascular issues
- Epic EMR system required; experience with Pyxis and SBAR communication
- Contract lengths vary with non-billable orientation hours determined by assignment duration
- Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and lift teams
- Float opportunities within facility and scope of practice as needed
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of nursing experience; first-time travelers accepted
- Active Georgia or Compact RN license required at time of submission
- BLS and ACLS certifications required; NIH Stroke Scale preferred
- Epic charting system experience required
- Experience managing cardiac and vasoactive drips (no titration) including milrinone, dobutamine, amiodarone, cardizem, lidocaine, bumex, and heparin
- Proficiency in telemetry monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, central line care, chest tubes, BiPAP/CPAP, high flow nasal cannula, and IV management
- Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions only)
- Full compliance required prior to start date; must complete core items and labs within 48 hours of contract signing
