Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse (RN) – Neuroscience ICU – Wisconsin
Start Date: November 30, 2026
Location: Madison, Wisconsin
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: Evening/Night shifts, 8 or 12-hour shifts (4x12 schedule available), every other weekend, some holidays required. 2:1 patient ratio across all shifts.

- Specialized patient population including stroke (ischemic, hemorrhagic), traumatic brain injury, post-neurosurgery, spinal cord injury, and status epilepticus
- Advanced procedures including ICP monitoring, external ventricular drains (EVD), lumbar drains, hypothermia protocols, and hemodynamic monitoring
- Epic EMR system with comprehensive interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and radiology
- Minimum 13-week travel assignment with experienced, collaborative nursing team and supportive leadership
Requirements:
- Active RN license (Wisconsin or Compact state)
- Minimum 2 years of acute care ICU experience within the last 3 years
- ICU experience required; Neurosurgery experience strongly preferred
- Experience with ICP monitoring or ventriculostomy management required
- Epic EMR experience required
- BLS and ACLS certifications (American Heart Association only)
- Basic arrhythmia interpretation experience required; must pass telemetry competency exam prior to start (80% passing score with strict criteria for lethal rhythms and heart blocks)
- Previous travel nursing experience required
- Trauma Level I experience preferred
- Must be willing to float as needed and work with both ICU and Intermediate Care patient populations
- Must reside 50 miles or more from the facility
- Flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions only)
