Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse First Assistant (RNFA) to join our Operating Room (OR) team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of experience in perioperative nursing and possess the necessary certifications.
Position Details
- Unit Type: Operating Room (OR)
- Shift Length: 10 hours
- Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
- Call Requirement: Yes, includes some nights and weekends
- Holidays: Yes
Unit Information
- Number of Suites: 7
- Average Cases per Day: 18-20
- Ratios: 1:1; 2:1
- Electronic Medical Record: Cerner
- Weekend Requirement - RN's: No
- Weekend Requirement - CST's: No
- Response Time for Call: 30 minutes
- Common Types of Cases: Laparoscopic, Bariatrics, Ortho, Neuro, Uro, GYN, ENT
- Scrubbing Required - RN's: No, preferred
Qualifications
- Current certifications: ACLS, BLS (AHA), and Certified Perioperative Nurse (CNOR) via CCI
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role
- Experience with various surgical procedures in an OR setting
