Job Opportunity – Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Registered Nurse – Michigan
Start Date: November 30, 2026
Location: Northern Michigan
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: Full-time rotating schedule with every other weekend required. On-call shifts possible. Holiday coverage from 7:00 PM on the eve of the holiday through 7:00 PM on the holiday.
Highlights:
- Provide critical care to unstable patients requiring life-support and advanced monitoring
- Manage ventilators, complex IV drips, CRRT, and balloon pumps
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive patient assessments and care coordination
- Float to similar critical care units as needed to support hospital-wide patient needs
- Work with EKG monitoring and interpretation as a core component of daily practice
- Contract assignment with strict attendance expectations to ensure continuity of patient care
Requirements:
- Active Michigan RN license (LARA and Nursys verification required)
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications
- Minimum of 1 year of dedicated ICU nursing experience (float experience does not qualify)
- EKG experience required
- Willingness to float to similar critical care units
- Completed skills checklist within one year of application
- Professional references available upon request
- Preferred experience in Neuro, CVICU, Trauma, ventilator management, CRRT, and balloon pumps
