Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Intensive Care Unit (ICU) nurse to provide comprehensive care for critically ill and unstable patients, ensuring their safety and comfort around the clock. The successful candidate will manage advanced life-support equipment, titrate complex intravenous drips, and interpret vital signs effectively.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform thorough head-to-toe assessments of patients.
- Administer medications accurately and in a timely manner.
- Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary medical team to coordinate advanced patient care.
- Operate and manage life-support equipment, including ventilators.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year of ICU experience (floating experience not considered).
- EKG experience is required.
- Willingness to float to similar units as needed.
- Preferred experience in Neuro, CVICU, or Trauma units.
- Preferred experience managing ventilators, CRRT, and balloon pumps.
- Completion of a skills checklist is required.
Certification Requirements
- ACLS certification
- BLS certification
State License Requirements
- Active Michigan nursing license at the time of submission.
