Blended Hourly Pay Rate (W2):$75.00
Blended Weekly Gross Pay Rate:$3,600.00
Minimum Hourly W2 Pay Ratez$37.50
Minimum Hourly Stipend:$37.50

Weekly Stipend (Non-Taxable):$1,500.00

Responsibilities:
- Provide emergency nursing care in a busy, fast-paced emergency department.
- Care for a mixed patient population, including neonates, infants, adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics.
- Perform patient assessments and respond to emergency situations.
- Monitor cardiac rhythms and interpret and manage dysrhythmias.
- Administer emergency medications, IV vasopressors, continuous IV sedation, and paralytics.
- Perform phlebotomy and initiate and maintain IV lines; both are mandatory competencies.
- Administer blood products and manage central lines.
- Provide procedural sedation administration and monitoring.
- Manage patients with CVA, multisystem organ dysfunction, psychiatric holds, suicidal ideation, and drug overdoses.
- Obtain and interpret 12-lead EKGs.
- Follow isolation precautions and PPE protocols.
- Float to other units when required by census.
- Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams to ensure quality patient care.
Requirements:
- Active New York RN license in hand; pending licenses are not accepted.
- Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS certifications.
- Minimum 1 year of ER experience; 1.5 years listed in the job requirements.
- Strong experience in a busy, fast-paced emergency department.
- Epic experience is mandatory per Tier 3 compliance.
- Mandatory competency in phlebotomy and starting/maintaining IVs.
- Experience with adult and pediatric emergency care.
- Experience with cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia management, blood product administration, central line care, IV vasopressors, and procedural sedation.
- Ability to float when census requires.
- Patient ratio experience: approximately 1:5.
