Shift Information
This position offers a varied shift schedule with 12-hour shifts. Start times may include 6 AM, 8 AM, 10 AM, 12 PM, 2 PM, and 6 PM.
Minimum Experience
Applicants must have a minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role.
Holiday Coverage
Holiday coverage is required for this position.
Certifications and Requirements
- Current state nursing license in California
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
- Experience with EPIC charting
- Minimum of 2 years of previous emergency room experience in a Level II trauma center or higher, including pediatrics, trauma, STEMI, and stroke care
- Current ENPC and TNCC certifications are preferred
Facility Overview
This position is located at a Level II Trauma Center recognized as a Joint Commission Accredited STEMI Receiving Center as well as a Stroke Receiving Center. The emergency department features 5 pods with a maximum of 49 beds and maintains a 4:1 patient-to-nurse ratio, with approximately 68,000 annual visits.
