Job Title: Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse (MS RN) – Float Pool
Specialty: Medical-Surgical
Location: Columbia, Missouri
Contract Duration: 13 Weeks
Position Urgency: Quick Start
Shift: Day Shift (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM)
Schedule & Hours:
- 48 hours per week (GWW).
- 36 guaranteed hours.
- Travelers may be downstaffed depending on weekly schedule.
- Holiday coverage required.
Unit Details:
- 32-bed, fast-paced Float Pool unit.
- Patient ratio: 1:6, may increase to 1:8.
- Must be willing to care for up to 8 patients.
- Patient population: Adults and Geriatrics.
- Remote Tele monitoring.
- Floating to Medical-Surgical, Cardiology, Medicine, Orthopedics, Surgical, Neurology, and Oncology units.
Required Skills:
- IV insertion.
- PICC/Central line management.
- Vascular device access and care.
- Traction and CPM.
- Epidural/PCA pumps.
- Feeding tubes and Wound VAC.
- Remote Tele and Tele interpretation.
- CPAP/BiPAP and tracheostomy care.
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of experience.
- Active state RN license.
- BLS/BCLS certification.
- Current CEU documentation required during compliance.
- Meditech EMR experience.
Pay & Other Details:
- Guaranteed hours: 36 per week.
- Overtime after 40 hours per week.
- OT rate: All-inclusive rate.
- Holiday rate: All-inclusive rate + $10.
- Call-back rate: All-inclusive rate + $10 (2-hour minimum).
Pager/on-call rate: $5/hour.
