Registered Nurse (RN)
Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) for a prominent Emergency Department (ED). The ideal candidate will possess a strong clinical background and have experience in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage patient care with a focus on triage and telemetry.
- Administer conscious sedation as necessary.
- Provide care for adult patients with various conditions including STEMI, stroke, and level 2 trauma.
- Work efficiently within a team to ensure high-quality patient care.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in an emergency department.
- Ability to start IVs and conduct triage.
- Must possess the following certifications:
- TNCC
- ACLS
- NIH
- MOAB
- BLS
- PALS
- 1st-time travelers are welcome to apply.
- Local candidates are accepted with a rate difference.
Preferred Qualifications
- ENPC certification is a plus.
- Experience in trauma care is preferred.
Shift Details
- 12-hour mid shifts from 11:00 AM to 11:00 PM.
- Every other weekend commitment required.
- No call or float requirements.
Patient Care Ratios
- Non-Critical Patients: 3:1 (4:1 during high-demand situations).
- Critical Patients: 2:1.
- Medical Boarders in ED: 5:1.
Unit Information
- Utilizes PYXIS and EPIC systems for medication management and patient records.
- Orientation training will be provided for 36 or 48 hours.
- Scrubs are not provided; navy blue scrubs are required.
Additional Notes
- All candidates must pass EKG testing prior to starting.
- Internal block scheduling is not available.
- 48-hour contracts will be prioritized, with 13-week contracts also accepted.
