Modern Healthcare Solutions is seeking a travel nurse RN ED - Emergency Department for a travel nursing job in Rochester, New York.

Registered Nurse ER (Adult)
Scheduling Details and Charting
- Shift Hours: 7a-7p/11a-11p
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Charting: EPIC experience required
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
- Holiday Requirement: Must be available to work every other holiday, if needed
- Call Off Policy: Up to three shifts may be canceled during a 13-week contract period
- First-Time Travelers: Accepting
- Local Staff: RN's within 75 miles are not accepted, but locals may be accepted for LPN positions
Required License/Certifications
- Must have an active New York Single State RN license (NY is not Compact)
- BLS, ACLS, NIHSS - Valid NIHSS certification required
Required Clinical Skills
- IV therapy (blood product administration, central line care, phlebotomy, starting/maintaining IVs); IV vasopressors
- CPAP/BiPAP; Ventilator management
- Assessment and management of CVA (stroke), neuro-trauma, spinal cord injury, and TBI
- Cardiac monitoring (interpretation and management of dysrhythmias)
- Emergency care for adult and pediatric patients, including trauma cases
- Isolation precautions; Triage; Pediatric spinal cord injury
Unit Details and Floating
- Patient Ratios: 1:5 for adults and geriatrics with a variety of emergency diagnoses
- Special Equipment: Bair hugger, rapid infuser, safe patient handling equipment
- Floating: Will be required to float within skillset
- Scrub Color: Any combination of navy blue and white
