Registered Nurse (RN) - First Assist
Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team as a First Assist. This role requires strong surgical skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Shift Information
- 40-hour guarantee per week
- Weekend and holiday coverage may be required
- On-call duties are assigned by rotation
Role Responsibilities
- Assist in surgical procedures as a First Assist nurse
- Provide pre-operative and post-operative care to patients
- Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Maintain accurate records and patient documentation
- Adhere to all safety and health regulations
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of current nursing experience
- BSN degree required
- BLS certification from the American Heart Association
- Active Certified Perioperative Nurse (CNOR) certification
- Experience with Meditech Expanse is highly preferred
- Must have a valid Massachusetts RN license
- A current skills checklist pertaining to Operating Room and First Assist must be provided
- One signed supervisory reference from the past two years of employment is required
Additional Requirements
- Travelers must provide their permanent address within the profile
- Personal vehicle is required for this position
- All requested time off (RTO) must be noted at the time of submission, with a maximum of 5 days accepted
- Availability for holiday shifts, including major holidays and weekends, is required
Orientation
Completion of an 8-hour non-billable orientation is required before the start of the assignment.
