Job Opportunity – Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) Registered Nurse – Ohio
Start Date: November 20, 2026
Location: Cleveland, Ohio
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: Day/Night rotating shifts (7:00 AM - 7:30 PM / 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM). Shifts may be variable to meet operational needs. Work at least every other holiday required.
Highlights
- Specialized pediatric critical care environment serving patients up to 25 years of age
- Epilepsy monitoring and advanced neurological care experience preferred
- Rotating shift schedule with 12-hour shifts to provide comprehensive patient coverage
- Extension opportunities available for up to 18 months
- Comprehensive orientation including ECG rhythm recognition and medication safety assessments
- Pre-start modules required (average 6-15 hours); first 4 hours are compensated
Requirements
- Active Ohio RN license or Compact state license in hand at time of application
- Minimum 12 months of permanent experience in PICU specialty
- Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (AHA or American Red Cross) required
- EKG interpretation and inotrope experience required
- NIHSS certification preferred
- One supervisory or managerial reference from specialty area within past 12 months required
- All certifications must be active at time of submission
- Successful completion of ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate assessments during orientation (two attempts maximum)
- Completion of BCI/FBI fingerprinting within 48 hours of contract signing
- COVID-19 and Influenza vaccinations required (medical/religious exemptions only)
- Negative drug screen required within 12 months of start date
