🏥 RN – Operating Room (OR) | Travel Contract
📍 Mason City, IA
📅 13-Week Contract
⏰ Day Shift: 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM
Position Highlights
- Every 6th weekend on call.
- Minimum of one overnight call shift per week.
- Additional call as needed based on department requirements.
- Included in holiday call rotation.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to patients before, during, and after surgical procedures.
- Serve as circulating and/or scrub nurse based on experience and department needs.
- Maintain sterile technique and ensure patient safety throughout procedures.
- Prepare operating rooms, surgical instruments, and equipment.
- Monitor patients and collaborate with surgeons and the surgical team.
- Complete accurate surgical documentation.
Requirements
- Active RN license (Iowa or compact).
- BLS certification required.
- NIHSS certification required.
- Previous Operating Room nursing experience.
- Strong knowledge of perioperative nursing and sterile techniques.
