Position Overview
Seeking an experienced PCU RN to provide high-quality care to patients requiring close monitoring and an elevated level of nursing care.
Responsibilities:
- Assess and monitor patients with complex medical conditions.
- Monitor vital signs, cardiac rhythms, and changes in patient condition.
- Administer medications, treatments, and IV therapies.
- Manage and monitor patients requiring telemetry.
- Recognize changes in patient status and respond appropriately.
- Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary care team.
- Provide patient and family education.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation.
- Follow hospital safety, infection-control, and patient-care standards.
Requirements:
- Active RN license.
- Recent PCU/Progressive Care or Step-Down experience.
- Experience caring for telemetry and moderately acute patients.
- Strong assessment and critical-thinking skills.
- Ability to work night shift: 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM.
- Previous acute-care hospital experience preferred.
