Med/Surg Tele Registered Nurse (RN)
Job Overview
We are seeking a Med/Surg Tele Registered Nurse to provide comprehensive care for patients in a fast-paced environment. The position may involve floating to various units as needed, ensuring continuity of care for a diverse patient population.
Shifts
- Shift: Night (4x12 Hours - 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM)
- Shift: Day (4x12 Hours - 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM)
Responsibilities
- Provide patient-centered care on the medical-surgical telemetry unit.
- Monitor patients’ conditions and administer medications as prescribed.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Conduct patient assessments and maintain accurate patient records.
- Educate patients and their families about health conditions and wellness strategies.
- Participate in orientation programs and complete required assessments.
- Work at least every other holiday as part of the nursing team.
Qualifications
- MUST have a minimum of 12 months of permanent experience in the specialty applying for.
- MUST possess a valid Ohio nursing license or a compact state license in hand.
- AHA or American Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required.
- Acceptable scores on ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate assessments during orientation.
