Registered Nurse (RN) - First Assist
Job Description
We are seeking a qualified Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in First Assist for an exciting opportunity. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for providing exceptional patient care in a dynamic operating room environment.
Shift Notes
- 8-hour shifts, Monday to Friday
- 40 hours per week with the possibility of floating to the main operating room as needed
- No weekend requirements; holiday coverage may be needed
On-Call Requirements
On-call duty will be assigned by rotation.
Unit Information
- Unit size: 8 beds
- Dress code: Facility-provided scrubs
Responsibilities
- Assist surgical teams during procedures, including scrubbing and circulating duties.
- Ensure patient safety and quality care throughout the surgical experience.
- Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to facility policies and procedures.
- Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of current First Assist experience in an operating room setting.
- Experience in both scrub and circulate roles.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
- Certified Perioperative Nurse (CNOR) certification required.
- Experience with Meditech Expanse is highly preferred.
- Must hold a valid Massachusetts Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Traveler must have their own vehicle for transportation needs.
Additional Information
All requests for time off must be included at the time of submission, with no more than five days accepted.
Travelers are expected to have voicemail set up on their phones to ensure communication is maintained.
