Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of Medical-Surgical/Telemetry experience
- First-time travelers accepted
- Experience with the following drips: heparin, PCAs, epidurals, Cardizem, nitroglycerin, and amiodarone
- Must be comfortable reading and measuring telemetry strips
- Active Iowa RN license or compact nursing license
- Active BLS certification
- Active ACLS certification
- Active NIHSS certification

- One supervisory reference form completed within the last 2 years
- Nursys verification showing an active Iowa or compact nursing license
- Active BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications

BLS/ACLS: AHA preferred; ARC or U.S. Military certificates also accepted.
Holiday & Time-Off Requirements
- Must work 2 of 3 winter holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Day, and New Year's Day.
- Maximum of 1 day of requested time off between November 25–29 and December 23–27.
- Local candidates are not accepted. Candidates must live at least 50 miles from the facility based on their driver's license.
- Former UPH FTE or PRN employees are ineligible to work travel assignments in another market for 12 months after separation. This policy does not apply to those who previously worked travel assignments at UPH.
Pay & Call Details
- Rate: 98 (rate unit not specified)
- Overtime/Holiday: 1.15x multiplier
- Call Back: 1.5x multiplier, with a 2-hour minimum
- On-Call Pay: $9/hour
- Charge/Preceptor Pay: $6/hour
