Genie Healthcare is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg / Telemetry for a travel nursing job in Des Moines, Iowa.
Job Description & Requirements

- Shift: 12 hours, nights
- Employment Type: Travel
Med-Surg / Tele RN – Nights 🌙
- Shift: 4x12s, 48 hours/week; No blocked shifts.
- Experience: 2 years recent Med-Surg/Med-Surg Tele required; current/recent charge experience required.
- Travel: First-time travelers accepted.
- Certifications: AHA or Red Cross BLS.
- License: Active Iowa or Compact license required at submission.
- Charting: Epic experience required.
- Patient Care: Med-Surg, telemetry, post-op hip/knee overflow; heparin drips. Ratio 4–5:1.
- Weekends: Every other or every third weekend, depending on staffing; holidays required.
- Floating: Across all campuses required.
- Local Rule: No locals; must live at least 50 miles away based on driver's license.
- Other: 16-hour orientation; navy blue solid scrubs.
