Registered Nurse (RN) - Emergency Department
Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) for the Emergency Department. The RN will provide high-quality care in a fast-paced environment, leveraging their expertise to assist patients during critical moments. This role is ideal for experienced nurses looking to make a significant impact in emergency care.
Shift Details
- Shift: Night shifts, either 3x12 or 4x12 hours (19:00 - 07:30)
- Weekend Coverage: Every other weekend, subject to change based on departmental needs
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the Emergency Department
- Utilize critical thinking and clinical skills to assess patient needs
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
- Document patient information accurately using the EPIC system
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Float to other units as required based on departmental needs
Qualifications
- Current TN RN license
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in the Emergency Department
- Must have at least 1 year of experience using the EPIC documentation system
- Required Certifications:
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale)
- CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute)
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
- Preferred Certification: TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course)
