Oncology Registered Nurse (RN)
Job Description
We are presently seeking a qualified Oncology Registered Nurse (RN) for a traveling position on a 4x12 night shift schedule. This role requires a dedicated nursing professional to provide exceptional care to oncology patients while demonstrating strong clinical skills and empathy.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer chemotherapy, medications, and IV therapy according to established protocols.
- Monitor patient progress and respond to any changes in condition or treatment reactions.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement comprehensive care plans.
- Educate patients and families on treatment options, side effects, and self-care practices.
- Document nursing assessments, interventions, and patient outcomes in compliance with hospital policies.
- Provide emotional support and counseling to patients and their families throughout treatment.
Qualifications
- Valid nursing license as a Registered Nurse (RN).
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Previous experience in oncology nursing is preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Schedule
This position requires a commitment to a 4x12 night shift schedule, providing dedicated support to patients during nighttime hours.
