ICU Registered Nurse (RN)
Job Description
We are seeking an experienced ICU Registered Nurse with a strong background in critical care and a passion for providing exceptional patient care. The ideal candidate will have:
- 2+ years of strong critical care experience
- 1+ years of travel experience
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS)
This position offers flexibility with scheduling options, including:
- 36 or 48 hours per week
- Straight nights or rotating day/night shifts
- Every other weekend and every other holiday requirements
Unit Description
The unit provides specialized care for critically ill patients with various neurological conditions, including:
- Neurotrauma
- Status epilepticus
- Stroke
- Spinal cord injury
This dynamic environment features a clinician-to-patient ratio of 1:2 with a typical patient population consisting of adults. The unit has a total of 24 beds and generally operates with a census of around 22 patients.
Qualifications
Applicants must hold a valid nursing license and maintain certification in BLS. Candidates should be prepared to work in a fast-paced environment and demonstrate excellent critical thinking skills as well as the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
