Registered Nurse (RN)
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Long Term Care (LTC) team. The ideal candidate will demonstrate expertise in geriatric nursing and possess a strong knowledge of chronic disease management.

Responsibilities
- Act as charge nurse while administering medications and performing wound care.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams as necessary.
- No clinical involvement outside stated responsibilities.
Patient Information
- Bed Capacity: 26 beds
- Patient Ratios: 1:10 during the day, 1:19 at night.
- Common Diagnoses: Heart disease, diabetes, dementia.
Work Environment
- No IVs or titratable drips on the unit.
- No telemetry monitoring; RNs will not be required to read strips.
- No on-site respiratory therapy or rehab services available.
- Basic oxygen therapy equipment provided as needed.
Scheduling Information
- 12-hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM.
- Every other weekend and holiday required.
- Standard orientation includes 2-3 shifts of unit/department specific training.
- No floating requirements.
- All schedules are not self-managed.
Dress Code
Employees must maintain a clean and presentable appearance in professional attire.
Additional Information
- None of the staff will be on call or standby.
- There is no pharmacy on-site; a medication dispensing system is used off-site.
- Immediate RTO is required upfront; additional requests may not be approved.
