Join a leading acute-care hospital as a Rapid Response RN in the Labor & Delivery unit. This contract position offers an exciting opportunity for experienced RNs who thrive in dynamic environments. As a crucial member of the healthcare team, you will provide exceptional care to patients during their labor and delivery experience.
Unit Information:
- Number of Beds: 11 Labor beds, 4 OB Evaluation, 2 OB PACU, 2 ORs
- Number of Staff: 79
- Patient Ratios: 1 RN/2 patients, 1 RN/1 patient
- Type of Equipment: GE fetal monitoring
- EMR: CPN, Meditech
Typical Hiring Profile:
- Must Have: AWHONN Fetal Monitoring, candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role.
- Preferred: Over 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience, Transition Nurse/Baby Catching.
Typical Procedures:
- Non-Stress Tests (NST), Cervical exams
- Managing labor, Titrating medications, McRoberts maneuver
Best Personality Fit: Candidates who thrive in organized chaos and enjoy a fast-paced environment with many patients will excel in this role.
Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, AWHONN EFM. These certifications must be included in the submission packet.
Dress Code: Hospital infant security scrubs.
