Join our team as a Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) in Seattle, WA, and make a difference in the lives of mothers and newborns. This position is a contract role in a high-volume, high-risk Labor & Delivery unit. We are seeking dedicated RNs who thrive in fast-paced environments and are committed to providing exceptional care.
Contract Length: 8 Weeks
Shift: Night 4x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:30)
Start Date: 11/16/2026
Duration: 8 weeks
Patient Diagnoses: Midwifery clients, private OBs, Adult Recovery Services supporting substance recovery, Community care clinics.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide care for high-risk patients in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment.
- Function in the role of Baby Nurse during delivery and continue care of the newborn until transfer to postpartum.
- Perform newborn assessments and administer necessary medications, including Vitamin K injections.
- Float to sister facilities that provide Mother/Baby care as needed.
- Work every other weekend and holidays as required.
Requirements:
- 1 Year of Labor and Delivery experience with high-risk exposure.
- Current BLS and NRP certifications are required.
- Preferred certifications: ACLS, AWHONN Advanced, AWHONN Intermediate.
- EPIC HARDSTOP and electronic fetal monitoring experience is valued.
This position requires flexibility and the ability to adapt to the unit's needs, with schedules posted every six weeks. We are committed to supporting our nurses with pre-approved time off on a case-by-case basis.
