🏥 Outpatient Hospital-Based Infusion Center
Position Highlights
- Outpatient infusion room setting.
- Day shifts with flexible scheduling:
- 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
- 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
- 10:00 AM – 6:30 PM
- Schedule may vary based on department needs, but can be coordinated in advance for better predictability.
Responsibilities
- Administer IV medications, fluids, and prescribed infusion therapies.
- Safely administer chemotherapy and immunotherapy treatments.
- Monitor patients for adverse reactions and treatment complications.
- Assess patient conditions before, during, and after infusions.
- Educate patients about treatments and potential side effects.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and follow patient safety protocols.
Requirements
- Active RN license (Iowa or compact).
- BLS certification required.
- Active ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Certificate Course completion required (ONS Provider Card).
- Previous infusion or oncology nursing experience preferred.
