# Job Opportunity – Home Care Hospice Registered Nurse – North Carolina**Start Date:** November 8, 2026 **Location:** Buncombe County, North Carolina **Compensation:** Details provided to qualified applicants **Schedule:** Day shift position with mobile/home visit model; 1:15 patient ratio; potential for backup call (infrequent)**Highlights:**- Provide compassionate hospice care directly in patients' homes throughout Buncombe County- Work alongside a collaborative team including a team manager, clinical nurse coordinator, RN case managers, and patient care technicians- Utilize Home Care Home Base EMR system for streamlined documentation and care coordination- Mobile position offering variety and autonomy in daily practice- Focus on pain management, patient assessment, and family education and support- Opportunity to make meaningful end-of-life care impact in a community-based setting**Requirements:**- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license- Current CPR certification- Valid driver's license (required for mobile visits)- Prior hospice experience strongly preferred, particularly as a case manager- Familiarity with electronic medical records systems- Understanding of documentation requirements for hospice certifications- Home health experience is a plus- Self-sufficient, independent work style with strong clinical judgment**Why It's a Great Opportunity:**This role offers the unique opportunity to provide dignified, compassionate end-of-life care to patients in the comfort of their own homes.
