Job Description
Oswego Health is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for its Emergency Department in Oswego, New York. This opportunity is ideal for a nurse who can provide safe, effective emergency care, communicate clearly, and multitask in a fast-paced clinical environment.
The RN will assess and monitor patients, provide nursing interventions, collaborate with the healthcare team, and support timely, high-quality care for patients presenting with a variety of medical emergencies.
Key Responsibilities
Assess, triage, and monitor patients presenting with acute illnesses and injuries.
Administer medications and treatments according to provider orders and facility protocols.
Recognize changes in patient conditions and respond promptly to emergencies.
Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
Maintain accurate patient records and clinical documentation.
Prioritize multiple patient needs in a busy emergency department.
Follow infection prevention, patient safety, and hospital policies.
Required Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
Current New York State RN license.
Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience required.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
Strong communication and multitasking skills.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced emergency care environment.
