Assignment Overview
We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse for the CVICU unit. The ideal candidate will have significant ICU experience with a focus on cardiovascular care, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. This position is open to both experienced travelers and first-time travelers who meet the qualifications.
Assignment Details
- Start Date: Flexible
- Shift Details: 0700-1900 or 1900-0700, every other weekend rotation, no on-call
- Estimated gross weekly pay package: $2565 (negotiable)
- Assignment Length: 36 or 48-hour contracts available
- Charting System: EPIC
Responsibilities
- Provide patient care for cardiac, thoracic, and vascular surgeries
- Monitor invasive lines and cardiovascular equipment
- Administer medications including inotropes, vasopressors, and sedation
- Interpret cardiac rhythms and manage ventilators
Qualifications
Required:
- 3 years of ICU experience with 1 year in CVICU
- BLS and ACLS certifications
- Experience with invasive line monitoring and EPIC system
Preferred:
- CCRN certification
- Experience with ECMO, CVVH, IABP, and VAD
