Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN)

Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN) to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in an emergency department setting and possess the required certifications. This position involves working 12-hour night shifts and requires flexibility to float to different areas when necessary.

Shift Details

• Shift: Night (3x12-Hour, 19:00 - 07:00)
• Every other weekend required
• Float required based on census demands

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in an emergency department
• First-time travelers are welcome
• Certifications required:
  • BLS
  • ACLS
  • PALS
  • NIHSS
• Mandatory competency in phlebotomy and intravenous (IV) placement

Required Skills

• General emergency department care for combined adult and pediatric patients
• Interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
• Management of patients with multisystem organ dysfunction/failure
• Blood product administration and central line care/management
• Starting IVs and administering continuous IV medications
• Procedural sedation administration
• Isolation precautions

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Epic electronic medical record system

Scrub Color

Any combination of navy and white.

Additional Information

Minimal requests for time off (RTO) are preferred to ensure optimal staffing. This position is located in the ER, where the unit has a mixed/shared acuity level with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:5.
