Unit Information
- Number of Beds: 80 total (40 beds on east side, 40 beds on west side)
- Number of Staff: 3CVE - 104, 3CVW - 79
- Patient Ratios: 4:1 for telemetry patients, 3:1 for PCU
- Type of Equipment: Alaris pumps, telemetry boxes, hoyer lift, wound vacs, immobile, PCS pumps, glucometer, mobilab, etc.
- EMR: Meditech
Position Overview
This role requires a Registered Nurse with experience in telemetry to provide care for patients with various conditions, including those recovering from post-operative procedures.
Typical Patient Care
- Post-operative care for open heart surgeries
- Stroke patients
- Patients requiring angiograms and PCIs
- Management of dysphagia issues and maintenance of TR bands
- Handling chest tubes, wound vacs, and rhythm interpretation
Qualifications
- Required Experience: 1.5 - 2 years of telemetry experience
- Preferred Experience: Familiarity with PCU/Telemetry/stroke environments, and proficiency in Meditech
- Required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
