Schedule/Shift
This position operates on the Evening Shift from 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM. Every other weekend and holiday are required. Floating to other units as staffing permits may also be expected.
Job Description
The Professional RN Team Lead will oversee critical aspects of patient care, including assessment, monitoring, and documentation. This role involves collaborating with an interdisciplinary team, advocating for patients, and maintaining clinical competence specific to the care area. The RN Team Lead will also participate in unit councils and staff meetings, promoting evidence-based practices in patient care.
Responsibilities
- Manage time effectively while prioritizing patient care tasks.
- Conduct assessments, monitor, record, and report changes in patients' conditions.
- Advocate for patients and practice ethically within the nursing scope.
- Collaborate and coordinate care with the interdisciplinary team.
- Document thoroughly and accurately in the EMR.
- Participate in unit councils and staff meetings to enhance care practices.
- Provide direct patient care, including dropping to LPN Med Cart position as needed.
Required Experience
- Active state RN license.
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
- Experience in a skilled nursing facility is preferred.
Certifications/Licensure
- Current state RN license is required.
- Additional certifications in BLS/CPR and other relevant credentials may be required.
