Job Summary
Registered Nurse, Pediatric Intensive Care Unit. Provides comprehensive nursing care to pediatric intensive care patients through assessment, care planning, implementation, evaluation, and documentation. Coordinates care with patients, families, physicians, and members of the healthcare team while supporting quality outcomes and safe clinical practice.
Job Details
- Schedule: Day shift, 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Current, valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice, a temporary or interim Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice, or compact Registered Nurse (RN) licensure for the current state of practice; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; minimum of 2 years of recent Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) Registered Nurse (RN) experience; previous travel experience; ability to float to other pediatric areas as needed.
- Preferred Qualifications: Bachelors degree and professional certification preferred. Additional related education or experience preferred.
- Additional Information: Provides direct care to pediatric intensive care patients in a large Level I adult trauma hospital environment. Responsibilities include frequent standing, walking, bending, squatting, reaching, stretching, patient transfers, use of proper body mechanics, and adherence to standard precautions. May be required to lift up to 75 pounds and use a personal computer periodically.
