**Join Our Dynamic Progressive Care Unit Team!** - **Start Date:** 12/14 - **Shift:** 7 PM - 7 AM - **Hours:** 48 Hours Guaranteed Preferred **Unit Overview:** - Number of Beds: 18 - Patient Ratios: 1:4-5 - Team Structure: 2 Patient Care Techs (PCTs) and 1 Unit Secretary on shift - Equipment: Alaris pumps, Kangaroo pump, Pxysis, computers in every room - Documentation System: Meditech - Scheduling: Self-scheduling with 3 weekend shifts required every 4 weeks - Floating Policy: 1. Travelers, 2. PRN staff, 3. Date last floated **Patient Care Focus:** - Specialize in cardiac and pulmonary patients with moderate physiologic instability - Typical Conditions: COPD exacerbation, pneumonia, CHF, and tracheostomy care - Telemetry & Pulm Step Down Unit provides monitoring and management every 2-4 hours - Responsibilities include oxygen therapy, vital signs monitoring, blood glucose monitoring, and neurological assessments **Required Skills:** - Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIH - Advanced Skills: Effective management of hemodynamically stable Tele/Pulm patients - Nursing Interventions: Vital signs and glucose monitoring, cardiac monitoring, and patient assessments at least every 3-4 hours **Dress Code:** - Royal Blue Attire Required **Why Catalytic Solutions (CatSol):** At CatSol, we connect dedicated therapists with rewarding assignments across the country.
