Registered Nurse – Progressive Care Unit (PCU)
- Location: Greensburg, PA
- Start Date: November 9, 2026
- Duration: 17 Weeks
- Shift: Night Shift, 3x12 Hours (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
- Experience: Minimum 1 year of PCU experience
- License: Pennsylvania or compact license required at submission
- Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS required
- Charting: Any EMR accepted
- Patient Ratio: Approximately 1:5–1:6
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
- Floating: Required as needed
- Patient Population: Adults and geriatrics
- Unit Size: 35 beds
Key Requirements
- First-time travelers are accepted.
- Previous charge nurse experience preferred.
- Experience with cardiac telemetry, dysrhythmias, and progressive care patients required.
- Common diagnoses include CHF, new-onset atrial fibrillation, COPD, and pneumonia.
- May manage cardiac and other drips, including Cardizem, amiodarone, nitroglycerin, dopamine, and heparin per protocol.
- Up to 2 RTO requests may be considered; all requests must be submitted with the application and are subject to approval.
- Block scheduling requires manager approval.
- Candidates living within a 50-mile radius are not accepted.
- Flu vaccination required; medical or religious exemptions only.
