Shift: Nights 7:00 PM–7:30 AM
Schedule: Choice of 3x12 or 4x12; every other weekend
Patient Ratio: 1:5
Charting System: Cerner
Float Required: Yes as needed
Call Requirement: Not specified
Note: No locals; willing to work every other holiday
Position Overview: PCU RN providing care for adult and geriatric patients in a primarily telemetry-focused PCU with some medical PCU overflow. Unit supports cardiac monitoring, respiratory care, IV therapies, and higher-acuity medical patients.
Requirements:
License: Active PA or Compact RN license
Experience: Minimum 1 year; PCU/Stepdown experience.
Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
Other requirement: IV therapy/phlebotomy, central/PICC line care, blood products, telemetry, dysrhythmia management, BiPAP/CPAP, HFNC, tracheostomy care, cardiac drips, wound care, and rapid response experience
Patient Population: Adults, geriatrics
Patient Diagnoses: CHF, new-onset Afib, COPD, pneumonia, CVA, renal failure, seizures, substance withdrawal, post-MI/cardiac procedures
