Job Opportunity – Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) RN – Pennsylvania
Start Date: November 30, 2026
Location: Pennsylvania
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: Three 12-hour shifts weekly (11:00 AM – 11:30 PM) with call coverage. Call requirements include 2 on-call shifts Monday-Friday (8 hours) and 1 on-call shift on weekends (12 hours) within a 6-week schedule. One summer and one winter on-call holiday required. 13-week assignment.
Highlights:
- Level I Trauma Center experience with diverse patient population including adults and pediatrics
- Comprehensive case mix including craniotomies, transplants (liver/kidney), cardiac cath procedures, interventional radiology, trauma cases, and general/specialty surgeries
- 2:1 patient ratio providing focused, quality care in a fast-paced environment
- Charting system: Cerner Aecis Surgi Net; scrubs provided
- Floating may be required to GI or Pain Center as needed
- First-time travelers welcome with 16 hours of orientation provided
Requirements:
- Active Pennsylvania RN license (or compact license) required at time of submission
- Required Certifications: TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course), PALS, ACLS, BLS
- Minimum 2+ years of nursing experience with Critical Care or PACU background required
- Level I Trauma Center experience and ICU background required
- Experience with charting systems required; Epic experience preferred
- Preferred experience: SICU, MICU, and CTICU
- Previous charge experience and travel nursing experience preferred
- Valid professional references required
- Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions only)
- Must complete Pennsylvania fingerprinting and childline clearance requirements
- Must be available to complete pre-employment labs within 48 hours of contract signing
