About the position: We are seeking a dedicated PACU Registered Nurse to join our team at a leading acute-care hospital in Charleston, SC. This position involves working the night shift from 7:30 PM to 8:00 AM (Friday-Sunday) and may require holiday availability. There is no call requirement, and you will be responsible for a patient ratio of 2 patients to 1 nurse.
The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience in PACU or Critical Care, with a preference for those who have experience recovering vascular and cardiac patients. First-time travelers are welcome to apply, and while specific experience is preferred, it is not mandatory.
Required Certifications: South Carolina or Multi-State RN license, BLS, ACLS.
Local Radius Rule: 60 miles. Locals may be accepted on a case-by-case basis at 10% less than the posted bill rate. All RTO (Requested Time Off) must be provided at the time of submission, with approvals based on departmental needs. The facility reserves the right to call off travelers for 1 shift per 2 weeks (pay period), and these hours can be broken down to add up to 1 shift.
Hospital Highlights: This facility is a Level I Trauma Center, Teaching Facility, and Magnet Hospital with a total of 820 staffed beds. Charting is done via EPIC. Please note that there is a $20 registration fee for a parking permit, which allows use of the garage. If parking outside of the designated area, additional fees may apply.
Travelers should be aware that during hurricane season (June through November), all employees and contractors may be assigned to emergency response teams. If this poses a concern, please ensure that travelers do not confirm a new or extended assignment during this time, particularly in the peak months of August and September.
