Registered Nurse (RN) – Operating Room (OR) | Travel Contract
Location: Boise, ID
Contract Length: 13 Weeks
Shift: Days | 6:45 AM – 5:15 PM
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) for a 13-week travel contract in Boise, Idaho. The ideal candidate will have strong perioperative nursing experience and the ability to provide safe, high-quality patient care throughout all phases of surgical procedures.
Job Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients undergoing surgical procedures.
- Prepare operating rooms by ensuring equipment, instruments, and supplies are available and functioning properly.
- Perform preoperative patient assessments and verify surgical consents, patient identity, and procedure details.
- Serve as a circulating nurse and/or scrub nurse during surgical procedures, according to experience and facility needs.
- Monitor patients' conditions throughout surgical procedures and respond to changes promptly.
- Maintain a sterile environment and ensure compliance with aseptic techniques and infection control standards.
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, surgical technologists, and other members of the surgical team.
- Assist with patient positioning, surgical counts, specimen handling, and surgical documentation.
- Provide safe patient handoff and coordinate postoperative care with the recovery team.
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, patient safety standards, and perioperative nursing protocols.
Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Idaho or compact license.
- Current BLS certification.
- Previous Operating Room nursing experience required.
- Experience with circulating and/or scrubbing responsibilities.
- Strong knowledge of surgical procedures, sterile techniques, and perioperative patient care.
- Excellent clinical judgment, communication, and teamwork skills.

- 13-week travel assignment
- Day shift: 6:45 AM – 5:15 PM
