Job Opportunity – Operating Room Registered Nurse – Ohio
Start Date: November 30, 2026
Location: Columbus, Ohio

Schedule: Shift options starting at 7:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.; late days required; call required; must be willing to float to other units as needed
Highlights
- Operating room experience with diverse surgical specialties including general, bariatric, ENT, gynecology, orthopedic, urology, and plastics procedures
- 6 operating rooms with daily census of 23-28 patients; patient population includes adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
- Epic charting system; 40 hours of orientation provided
- Interdisciplinary support including physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, radiology, rapid response teams, and pharmacy
- Travel assignment with local candidates accepted at the same rate
- Former employees eligible for travel assignment after 6 months away from facility
Requirements
- Valid RN license (Compact or Ohio state license required at time of submission)
- Minimum 2 years of operating room experience required
- ACLS and BLS certifications required
- Education from an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program
- Proficiency in scrubbing for multiple surgical specialties including bariatric, general, ENT, gynecology, orthopedic, urology, and plastics procedures
- Experience with laparoscopic assisted cases, total joint replacements, and administration of blood products
- 2 professional references required (at least 1 from manager/director or formal leadership; charge RN acceptable for 2nd reference; no coworker references)
- Must complete Ohio fingerprinting process urgently upon contract signing
- Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only)

Important Scheduling Information
- No requested time off (RTO) will be approved during November 22-28 and December 20-26 due to double holiday periods
- RTO during December 27-January 2 is at manager's discretion
- For contracts spanning both Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays, staff will be scheduled to work either Thanksgiving or Christmas day based on organizational needs
- RTO must be included with submission and built into contract
- Strict compliance deadline of Tuesday prior to start date - no exceptions
Parking Information

- Monthly Permit: $224.80/month or $748.58 per 100 days (guaranteed 24/7 garage parking)
- Annual Permits: West Campus option at $196.20/year or expanded access option at $393.96/year (both include surface parking and weekend/holiday garage access)
- Annual permits may qualify for prorated refunds for unused future months
Compliance Requirements
All candidates must complete Ohio fingerprinting as soon as contract is signed. Candidates within driving distance of Ohio must travel to an in-state fingerprinting location immediately after booking. Those at extreme distances will receive a mailed fingerprinting packet to be completed urgently upon receipt. Unresponsive or uncooperative candidates are at risk of assignment push or cancellation.
