Contract | 13-Week Travel Assignment | Days, 10-Hour Shifts (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM) | Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday | Expected 40 hours/week
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct perioperative nursing care in a 7-room OR suite serving a diverse surgical patient population including orthopedics, general surgery, urology, GYN, ENT (pediatric and adult), pain, and dental (pediatric) cases
- Maintain a 1:1 patient ratio throughout surgical procedures, ensuring patient safety and quality of care
- Operate and assist with specialized OR equipment including Hana table, trauma table, Enseal, Myosure, Novasure, Kabtec, and Neoprobe
- Document accurately using the Paragon electronic health record system
- Participate in occasional call coverage to support the designated call team during PTO days
- Contribute to a collaborative, family-oriented unit culture focused on delivering a world-class patient experience
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license in good standing
- Minimum 1 year of OR nursing experience plus at least one prior travel assignment
- Proficiency across multiple surgical specialties including C-sections, orthopedics, general surgery, urology, GYN, ENT, pain, and pediatric dental
- Willingness and ability to take call on an as-needed basis to cover designated call team PTO
- Must reside at least 60 miles from the facility to be eligible for travel rates
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with Paragon EHR
- Familiarity with specialized OR equipment such as Hana table, Neoprobe, Myosure, or Novasure
- Experience in a community or regional hospital setting
- Comfortable working in a close-knit, team-oriented environment
