RN – Psychiatric / Behavioral Health
Schedule
- Shift: Night shift, 7:00 PM–7:30 AM
- Hours: 3 × 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week
- Weekend Rotation: Every other weekend
- Floating: Required across four inpatient psychiatric units of equivalent or lower acuity
- EMR: Epic
- First-Time Travelers: Accepted
Flu Vaccine: Required; medical exemptions only
Required Experience
- Minimum 2 years of nursing experience.
- Inpatient psychiatric/behavioral health experience.
- Experience caring for adult and geriatric patients with conditions including:
- Schizophrenia and schizoaffective disorder
- Bipolar disorder, mania, and psychotic disorders
- Suicidal ideation, major depressive disorder, and anxiety
- Dementia with behavioral disturbances
- Substance use and chemical dependency
- Experience with crisis intervention, de-escalation, behavior management, and trauma-informed care.
- Ability to manage aggressive behavior and follow restraint and seclusion protocols.
- Experience with psychiatric medication administration, suicide precautions, and patient safety.
- Previous charge experience is preferred.
- Patient Ratio: 1:6.
Required Documents / Certifications
- Active RN license — valid compact or Ohio state license required at submission.
- BLS.
- ACLS.
- CPI.
- Aegis training/certification, as specified in the posting.
- Epic experience.
