Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our progressive care unit. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in patient care and will thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Position Details
- Experience Required: 2 years in a PCU or similar setting
- Shift: Day shift; three 12-hour shifts per week (07:00 - 19:30)
- Patient Ratios: 4:1 to 5:1, up to 6:1
Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
- NIH Stroke Scale certification
Responsibilities
As a Registered Nurse in the progressive care unit, your responsibilities will include:
- Providing compassionate and comprehensive patient care
- Monitoring patient progress and health statuses
- Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to achieve optimal outcomes
- Administering medications and treatments as prescribed
- Educating patients and their families on care plans and health management
