Compensation & Schedule Details
- Hours & Shift: Day shift (4x10-hour shifts, 0700–1730). Target start date: November 2, 2026.
- Weekend & Call Requirements: No on-call requirement. No holiday requirement.
- Scheduling & RTO: Block scheduling cannot be accommodated. All Requested Time Off (RTO) must be submitted at the time of profile submission (none accepted post-submission). Interview availability of 3–5 days must be provided.
- Radius & Local Rules: 50-mile local radius rule applies. Local candidates are subject to a local rate differential. First-time travelers are accepted with appropriate experience.
Key Facility Policies & Floating Mandates
- Floating Requirements: Travelers are required to float between multiple facilities and locations, including Jefferson Hospital for Neuroscience, Jefferson Methodist Hospital, the Honickman Center, and services at the main OR.
- Scrub & Uniform: Both scrub and circulate duties are required. Scrubs are provided by the facility. Charting via Epic.
Compliance & Credential Mandates
- PA Fingerprint Requirement: Pennsylvania Fingerprints (and Childline/FP results) are strictly required and must be completed within 1 week of signing. If results are not current within 12 months, travelers must complete fingerprinting immediately, as processing takes up to 2–4 weeks and cannot pend.
- Pre-Employment & Orientation: Pre-employment labs must be completed within 48 hours of signing. Modules completed within the first 8 hours of orientation are non-billable.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum 3 years of OR experience required, specifically with cardiac, liver transplant, craniotomies, and spinal cases (ortho fracture experience is a plus). Level I Trauma experience and a Level I Trauma certification are strictly required (trauma level 1 course/certificate also preferred).
- Licensure: Active Pennsylvania (PA) RN license or multi-state compact RN license required at submission.
- Certifications: AHA BLS required at submittal.
