Nursing Roles & Expectations
 Circulating experience is required
 Scrub experience is a plus, but not required
 The department prioritizes nurses with strong circulating skills who are willing and   able to share their knowledge and contribute to the continued advancement of perioperative nursing practice
 Nurses should be comfortable working across all phases of surgical care
 Comfort caring for patients of all ages, including pediatrics, is required

Day Surgery / PACU Overview
 Day Surgery
    o Shift start: 6:00 AM
    o First case: 7:30 AM
 PACU
    o Operates until approximately 11:30 PM
    o Staffed with two nurses Monday–Friday
    o On-call coverage after hours
 PACU maintains one nurse on call
 An OR nurse serves as the second backup
