Job Summary:
Operating Room Nurse specializing in perioperative care in a 1000+ bed hospital setting. This role involves circulating in a busy Level 1 trauma environment, supporting a variety of surgical cases across multiple service lines. The position requires flexibility to float between operating rooms, with a focus on providing high-quality patient care during scheduled shifts.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Days shift, 12-hour shifts (7 a.m. 7 p.m.), with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Valid nursing license; minimum of 2 years of operating room experience; prior travel nursing experience; circulating experience in a surgical environment; must have a minimum of 0 years of experience; must have license on file at the time of submission.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with adult patient population; procedural experience in diverse case types including neuro, trauma, general, ortho, GYN, urology, ENT, plastics, cardiothoracic, vascular, transplant, robotic, hybrid rooms, ambulatory ortho, burn, hepatic-biliary.
- Additional Information: Orientation begins on 10/26, with additional start dates on 11/02, 11/09, and 11/16. The position entails working during holidays, with limited time off approval. Late stays are required based on unit needs, rarely exceeding one hour past scheduled shift. The OR treats all service lines except cardiac, transplant, and trauma/neuro. The role will involve supporting various case types, including complex and outpatient procedures, in a fast-paced trauma level 1 environment.
- Travel: Yes, travel is required.
- Float: No float rotation may be required.
