Travel RN Job Details

Med/Surg Tele RN Job Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in New York
• At least 1 year of recent acute-care nursing experience
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
• Strong patient assessment, prioritization, medication administration, and care coordination skills
• Clinical experience titrating vasoactive infusions, including clevidipine and norepinephrine
• Experience managing sedation for mechanically ventilated patients, including dexmedetomidine and propofol infusions
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced hospital and clinical environment

Travel Registered Nurse Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, delegate, coordinate, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care for assigned patients.
• Monitor telemetry and recognize changes in patient condition, escalating concerns promptly.
• Safely administer medications and intravenous therapies in accordance with professional standards and applicable policies.
• Titrate vasoactive drips and manage sedation infusions for critically ill or mechanically ventilated patients as clinically indicated.
• Provide post-procedure and acute-care monitoring, including focused assessments and timely intervention.
• Educate patients and families regarding health promotion, treatment plans, and disease management.
• Promote patient safety, advocacy, comfort, and a healing care environment.
• Maintain accurate documentation and comply with nursing practice standards, regulatory requirements, and professional scope of practice.
• Participate in quality improvement, continuing education, professional development, and support of a positive learning environment.
