Medical Surgical Registered Nurse (MS RN)
Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled Medical Surgical Registered Nurse (MS RN) to join our team. This position involves providing care to adult and geriatric patients in a fast-paced environment.
Shift Details
- Available Shifts: 3x12 or 4x12 nights, based on traveler preference
- Block scheduling is available
Responsibilities
The Medical Surgical RN will be responsible for:
- Caring for adult and geriatric patients
- Maintaining nurse-to-patient ratios of up to 1:6-7
- Administering medications and managing intravenous (IV) therapies, including drips such as cardizem, tridil, and amiodarone
Qualifications
- Must possess an active Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required
- Must hold a valid nursing license in Alabama or a Compact License at the time of submission
- A minimum of 1 year of relevant experience is required
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
Additional Information
The position is not open to local candidates residing within a 75-mile radius. A history of no prior permanent employment in the last 10 years is required.
