Position Overview
The role involves providing high-quality nursing care within a medical-surgical unit. The nurse will work responsibly as part of a team, ensuring patient safety and delivering patient-centered care across various conditions.

Education & Certifications Required
- Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS (ALS preferred), PALS (preferred)
- Education Modules: LMS modules assigned as required
Unit Information
- Number of Beds: 45
- Patient Ratios: 1:5 on days, 1:6 on nights
- Equipment: Plum pumps, Pyxis, Ascom phones, bladder scanner, ECG machine, Phillips Cardiac Monitor
- EMR: EPIC
Hiring Profile
- Must Have Skills/Experience: Patient-focused, organized, BLS, ACLS, IV skills, telemetry monitoring, and required documentation.
- Preferred Skillset/Experience: PALS (not mandatory for travelers on MSU).
- Type of Patients: Medical-surgical including orthopedic, general surgery, and urology. Common diagnoses include CHF, COPD, and PNA. Pediatric patients are also admitted, requiring PALS certification for care.
- Personality Fit: Positive, professional, and a team player.
Dress Code
- Scrub Color: Any solid color, as long as they are clean and in good repair.
- Unacceptable Attire: Hoodies and Crocs or any shoes with holes or open toes.
