Job Summary
Medical Surgical with Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) Philadelphia, PA. This role involves providing inpatient-level nursing care to admitted patients boarding in the Emergency Department while awaiting transfer to an inpatient bed. The RN will support patient safety, throughput, and continuity of care during high hospital census periods, working within a fast-paced emergency department setting.
Job Details
- Position: RN - Medical/Surgical and Telemetry (MS TELE)
- Location: Philadelphia, PA
- Certification and Education Requirements: Active RN license; BLS (Basic Life Support); NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS); recent inpatient medical-surgical experience of at least 1 year.
- Schedule: Night Shift; 12-hour shifts; minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Responsibilities: Provide inpatient nursing care within the emergency department for admitted patients boarding while awaiting inpatient beds; monitor telemetry, administer IV medications, assist with post-procedural care, and address general inpatient needs.
- Float: Float rotation may be required.
- Submission: Candidates must demonstrate strong clinical skills, ability to work independently in a dynamic environment, effective communication, flexibility, teamwork, and a commitment to patient safety and quality care.
