Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our team in a fast-paced medical surgical unit. This position requires proficiency in managing drips, including Cardizem, Tridil, and Amiodarone, with a patient-to-nurse ratio of 1:6 to 1:7.
Shift Details
- Shift Type: Day
- Shift Duration: 4x12 hours (07:00 - 19:00)
- Block Scheduling: May be accommodated
Unit Information
This is an orthopedic unit with a medical-surgical/telemetry overflow. The candidate will occasionally manage cardiac drips in conjunction with orthopedic care.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience is required.
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply.
- Current certifications required: BLS, NIHSS. ACLS certification is preferred.
- Pending licenses are acceptable; however, prior permanent staff are ineligible for travel assignments for 10 years.
- Scrubs: Navy Blue.
Additional Requirements
Candidates must demonstrate proficiency in drip administration within the required ratios. The ability to handle occasional cardiac overflow is essential for this role.
